Karate Without Borders Inauguration Martial Art Tournament

On October 23, 2010, Karate Without Borders, a non for profit organization, held their first martial art tournament for the community. Martial art schools from all over South Florida were invited for the inaugural event for this amazing organization that brought together valued members of the martial arts community.

This tournament offered children the opportunity to compete with other fellow martial artists at almost no cost. A tournament of this size and this type of caliber would be out of reach for most children and families in need, but thanks to Karate Without Borders they were provided the opportunity to compete for medals in various martial arts disciplines while building their self-esteem. All competitors showcased their hard work and training in martial arts while promoting positive sportsmanship among competitors.

Bart Vale , an international SHOOTFIGHTING® champion was one of the host of the event as well as co-founder of Karate without Borders, along with  Sensei Noel Castiilo, a Miami Beach Police officer and owner of Tiger & Dragon in Kendall and Sifu Henry Regalado owner of United Martial Arts Academy in Florida City. Master Fred LaSala was also present for the event.

Karate Without Borders had one very special guest present at their tournament that has made a significant impact in martial arts . Grandmaster Veronica C. Walker  who is well known throughout the martial art community for reaching out to children to promote the education of martial arts.
